China's e-cigarette export data for August was released, with export value down 10.23% month-on-month

On September 20, China's General Administration of Customs released the export data of electronic cigarettes in August.

The data showed that the export value of electronic cigarette products (including electronic cigarettes and similar personal electronic atomization devices, other nicotine-containing non-combustion inhalation products, the same below) in August 2024 was about US$898 million (detailed data is US$897,955,868), a year-on-year increase of 2.39% and a month-on-month decrease of 10.23%.

Among them, the top ten destinations for my country's e-cigarette exports in August this year are:

1. The United States (US$288,820,813)

2. The United Kingdom (US$91,266,741)

3. Germany (US$56,318,434)

4. South Korea (US$52,934,995)

5. Russia (US$42,265,695)

6. The Netherlands (US$40,704,769)

7. Malaysia (US$35,838,145)

8. Canada (US$26,891,964)

9. The United Arab Emirates (US$24,622,862)

10. Poland (US$21,761,126)

The total export value of these ten countries reached US$681,425,544, accounting for 75.89% of my country's total e-cigarette exports in August.

In terms of ranking, the top ten export destinations in August did not change much compared to July this year. Only Japan dropped 54.44% (from 28,894,544 US dollars in July to 13,163,803 US dollars in August) and fell out of the top ten, replaced by Poland. Russia also fell sharply, from the third place in July to the fifth place.

In addition, although the amount of e-cigarettes exported by my country to the United States and the United Kingdom decreased slightly in August, these two markets still lead the world, ranking first and second respectively. As the only country in Southeast Asia to enter the top ten, Malaysia ranks seventh steadily, and my country's exports to the country increased by 19.30% compared with July.
